Spreading out fromt he Carlston Mesa like a giant spider, Neu Bonn is a sterling example of Federation urban design. Small cities can get by with a dome, but a truly large city like this, or Kurtzenheim, can't. Allthe builings are sealed, and connected by numerous walkwas and even ground vehicle roads, though all underground. Mass transportation is very well-developed, and all the trains run on time.
Much of the population actually shelters within the bulk of the mesa itself, as well as the city's main fusion plant and a host of industrial concerns.

Much of the Martian Republic is undeveloped, lacking the maglev and road networks of the Federation. Long-range transportation is either by zepp, or the so-called "Rough Train". The Rough Train takes a heavy, over-powered tractor unit, and attaches up to 5 trailers to it. The trailers are unpowered, having just brakes and a large cargo pallet. Cargo is usually stored in a standard 10x10x20 cargo module, clamped to the deck of the car.
Though unarmed, the recent upswing in hostile attacks by "bandits" from across the border has led to the use of armed outrider vehicles, often open-topped with a pintle mount.
Whenever the skies are clear on Mars, you can often see one of these immense airships. Designed primarily for long-range cargo hauling, they also see use at the mines and in construction projects. Capable of dead-lifting over 80 tons, the LZ-94 is in great demand.
The heavy-duty crawler is found practically everywhere on Mars. One of Martian Metals more successful products, this tough and sturdy vehicle is seen in a variety of roles, from transport to ad hoc APC.

This shows a typical farm found across Mars, in both the Federation and the Republic. This typw of small operation is more commonly found in the Republic, however. This image only shows a portion of the farm, with the lines of greenhouses extending off the frame.
The large dome in the rear, towards the right of the image, is the main dome. Here the extended family and any hired help stay. The main house itself is underground, with the open area under the dome being reserved for a few fruit trees and a yard for recreation.
The two domes tot he left of the main dome are storage and workshops, while the last is the garage. All the domes are interconnected underground.
Note the tractor, heading towards the landing pad in the front of the frame. It is the same model previously shown.
The A-23 is a light attack VTOL used for long-range partols and strikes by the Martian Republic. Not as glamorous as the Hellwind tank and its riders, the A-23 simply offers steady, reliable performance. The two banks of launchers, coupled with the 30mm massdriver, makes it a formidable opponent. Each bank carries 8 RG-90 90mm rockets, and 4 AT-6 anti-armor missiles.
A Federation LPz-31 assault shuttle unloads its deadly cargo of four Sabertooth exo-suits, while a pair of hard-suited troops stand watch.
The LPz (LuftPanzer) -31 is literally a flying tank, armed with a 40mm gatling in the nose and a pair of ordnance bays, each holding 2-3 missiles or rocket pods. It is used primarily in Special Operations raids like this, rather than in full assaults.
A Martian Federation soldier on patrol. He is accompanied by a Hund-series drone, with limited autonomy. The drone carries a 20mm chaingun, along with 2 50mm anti-armor rockets. In assault mode, the Hund carries 2 guided missiles, and also mounts a Target Designator. The soldier is in hard armor, and carries a 10mm gyrojet carbine.
The IV is a special operations modification of the standard Sabertooth. It carries a 20mm autorifle, along with a rocket pod holding four 50mm rockets. Armor has seen a bit of an upgrade as well. The IV is fast becoming much-loved by its users, both for the extra firepower as for the increased armor.
